Full-Time Package Handler

Job SummaryThe Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. Hours and WagesMonday-Friday, 10:00PM Start10-15 hours of overtime expected each week

Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week$21.00-$26.25 per hour, based on experience

The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes

Sort each package by zip code, city, or state

Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed

Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal communication skills

Efficient time management skills

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Education and ExperienceAt least 18 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical RequirementsAbility to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet

Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
