Full Time Security

We invite you to be part of our exciting team and rapidly growing business. The Fresh Mark facility in Canton, Ohio, is currently accepting applications for Security Guards.  The successful candidate will be vigilant, and hardworking.

$16.00/Hour 

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.   
• Apprehend trespassers and remove people who violate the rules or create disturbances.
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.   
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises. 
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Contact emergency services in cases such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.   
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours.
• Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas.   
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.   
• Authorize and check in trucks. Also, check trucks leaving premises.
• Transport employees as needed  

Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:   

• Great interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with visitors
• Ability to de-escalate situations
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license with no restrictions
• Ability to work in high pressure environments
• High School graduate or equivalent 
• Great physical strength and agility
• Keen and observant eye to ensure any suspicious activity does not go unnoticed
• Ability to act with integrity and in a professional manner
• Availability to work any shift.
• Must be able to work assigned weekends and holidays 
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
