Job Description
Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) North of Spearfish, SD Connected Health Care, a top-tier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently partnered with a respected healthcare provider in Spearfish, South Dakota, to find a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real impact on patients' lives in a friendly and scenic community.Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, youll assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create customized treatment plans and deliver patient-focused care.Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients of varying ages*
- Provide therapy to address speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders*
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff*
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on home programs and therapy techniques*
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards*
- Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives*
- Stay current with best practices and emerging research in speech-language pathology
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program*
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Current South Dakota SLP license or ability to obtain* *
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required* *
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required*
- Experience:
- Previous experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred* *
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning skills*
