Job Description

Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Belle Fourche, SD

Connected Health Care, a top-tier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently partnered with a respected healthcare provider in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to find a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real impact on patients' lives in a friendly and scenic community.

Position Overview:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create customized treatment plans and deliver patient-focused care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients of varying ages

  • Provide therapy to address speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders

  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff

  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on home programs and therapy techniques

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards

  • Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives

  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Licensure & Certifications:

    • Current South Dakota SLP license or ability to obtain

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA – required

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
