The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique.Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for surgical procedures including instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies*
• Assist surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures*
• Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and adherence to sterile technique*
• Maintain sterile field and assist with infection control practices*
• Monitor inventory and maintain equipment and instrument readiness*
• Assist in emergency situations as required*
• Participate in continuing education and professional development initiatives*
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and perioperative staff*
• Uphold professional appearance and conduct while delivering compassionate care

Education & Certification Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required*
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required*
• Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or approved equivalent required*
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds*
• Mental and physical ability to perform essential job functions*
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Surgical Technologist experience in Ortho, General, OB/GYN, Podiatry, or GI*
• Minimum of two years of successful surgical technologist experience in acute care, perioperative, or surgical settings within the last five years
