Job: GA DOL Computer Operator 2 (813914) Client: State of Georgia Duration: 6+ Months of Contract Location: 148 Andrew Young International Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30303 - Onsite Interview: Either Web Cam or In Person Rate: $30/hr
Under general supervision, operates computer and peripheral equipment. Performs clerical and maintenance tasks in support of a mainframe computer complex or other large centralized IT system.

This is a weekend shift with the hours of 7pm 7am, Saturday and Sunday. They would then need to get in an additional 16 hours anytime during the week. The additional 16hrs can be picked up on any shift. 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, monitors BPE/TPE transactions, all environmental, security, electrical & UPS systems. Checks the network systems to ensure statewide access. Works with vendors for hw/sw. Ensure all printed output is of high quality and defect free.
Preferred Qualifications Significant experience as a Computer Operations Operator in a large data center. Exp w/a Network Operations Center (NOC). Exp w/production control. Exp with distributed servers running AIX, Linux, and Windows. Exp w/data center security, HVAC and electrical in a data center. Exp w/Control-M, TPE/BPE Manager.
Qualifications: Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college AND 2 years of related experience

Skill Completion of either a two-year certificate/degree from a college, university, or technical school in an IT field or equivalent work experience in IT. Experience as Computer Operator in a large Data Center. Experience with a Network Operations Center (NOC). Experience with Production Control. Experience with Control-M. Experience with TPE/BPE Manager. Experience with security in a Data Center. Experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) in a Data Center. Experience with electrical power in a Data Center including generators and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Experience with a raised floor in a Data Center. Experience with fire detection and fire suppression systems in a Data Center. Experience with Change Management policies, procedures, and software. Experience with Incident/Problem Management policies, procedures, and software. Experience with Asset Management policies, procedures, and software. Experience with Networks, such as LAN/WAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, and SNA. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Experience with automated job schedulers. Experience with hardware/software maintenance contracts. Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Experience with State and/or Federal government. Experience with distributed servers running AIX, LINUX, and Windows.
