Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Job Description:Technicians work on systems and maintain the supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TV's
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containersPrevious experience with chemical and gas distribution equipmentGas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenanceComputer operations to support job functions and customer needsSupport of quality systems
Physical Attributes:
Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)In some cases, Technicians must wear a Site Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutesBasic lifting (up to 40lbs)Bending of the knees and overhead reachingPPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Workers will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plusMilitary training is welcomedStrong technical aptitudeExcellent communication skillsProficient with MS Office Suite
