Enbridge of Ohio is looking for a Gas Projects Manager to join the team in Akron, OH.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the completion of all such work that must meet pipeline safety, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinates activities with Land and Legal departments.
  • Functions as a point of contact to resolve customer complaints and maintains close ties with local municipalities.
  • This role provides management, planning, and direction for Gas Delivery projects and/or programs in distribution construction and maintenance.
  • The role may include cost and resource management, sales functions, installation, technical, construction or engineering leadership.
  • May prepare and submit bid and proposals.
  • Ensures effective engineering design of projects and adherence to company policy and engineering standards, safe work practices and compliance.
  • Monitors contractor or subcontractor management and reviews bid project.
  • May be responsible for communication with internal and external customer.
  • May support past construction projects.

Who You Are:

Education Level:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years directly related experience Or
  • Associate degree and 9+ years of directly related experience Or
  • High school diploma and 11+ years of directly related experience.

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Field Operations and knowledge of natural gas field facilities, resource management, land & rights of ways, pipeline safety, construction inspection, damage prevention, utility construction/design experience, quality control experience, cost pricing analysis.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem-solving, time management, strong computer skills.
  • Abilities: Experience with the following software: GIS (Esri), Quickbase (Taskops), Survey123, and SAP, present material in an understandable way to large and small groups, analyze and organize information and develop training programs and classes, operate and troubleshoot equipment used by the target audience, lead and coach, and process information and questions and quickly develop answers.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 40 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 40 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
