General Accounting Clerk

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

Our General Accounting Clerk has a consistent Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule. You'll play a valuable part in our office by helping handle the crucial matters that keep our finances in good shape. Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail will be your keys to success. Over time, you'll expand your financial capabilities, grow your knowledge, and become a more capable accounting professional!

You'll be in charge of:

• Entering bills
• Posting payments
• Running basic financial reports
• Accurately processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Completing accurate data entry
• Reconciling accounts and statements
• Providing administrative support as directed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals, including the difference between debit/credit, accounts payable (AP)/accounts receivable (AR), and revenue/expenses
• Ability to read and understand a chart of accounts
• Ability to reconcile a bank statement
• Accurate data entry skills

Experience supporting month-end closes and working in a service/construction/trade environment would be beneficial! What matters most is a drive to do your best and a motivation to keep growing within the field.
