As a General Construction Worker/Laborer, you'll assist with interior remodels and installations across kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and more. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters, learning the trade while helping with setup, cleanup, and hands-on construction work. This role is perfect for someone who's dependable, eager to learn, and ready to build a future in the trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition, site prep, and cleanup for residential remodeling projects.
• Help cut, shape, and assemble building materials using power tools safely and correctly.
• Support carpenters with cabinet, trim, and fixture installations.
• Assist with drywall installation, patching, and painting as needed.
• Help with flooring installs (LVP, laminate, hardwood) and tile work under supervision.
• Perform light plumbing or electrical prep tasks under guidance.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace on every job.

Qualifications

• Some experience in carpentry, construction, or general labor preferred (but not required).
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and willingness to learn new equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work (reasonable accommodations available).
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to job sites within ~40 minutes of Frankfort, IL.
• Willingness to submit to a background check and drug test after offer, consistent with Illinois law.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of hire.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 Employees
• Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour (DOE)
