Position Summary:
The General Dentist with Limited Practice in Oral Surgery is responsible for providing oral surgical procedures for HealthPoint patients.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Perform limited exams/consultations, interpret CBCT images in addition to 2D x-rays for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide all types of exodontia, soft tissue biopsy, and alveoloplasty.
- Provide minimal to moderate sedation using Nitrous Oxide and/or oral medications.
- Care for medically complex patients.
- Provide effective pre-operative and post-operative counseling and obtain informed consent prior to all exams or procedures.
- Review and document patient's medical history, medications, and prescribe new medications in Epic.
- Review and document patient dental history, treatment plans, and services provided in Epic.
- Assist with meeting clinic quality improvement and operations goals through striving for an efficient, productive clinic. Participate in developing and utilizing HealthPoint practice guidelines and procedures, participating in audits, and being involved with risk management and utilization management programs.
- Provide educational opportunities and clinical instruction for dental residents.
- Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
- Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility, and respect into appropriate programs and services.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
- Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Dentistry.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of direct dental services experience in the area of oral surgery or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintain current licensure as a DDS or DMD in the state of Washington as well as a DEA certification.
- Demonstrated advanced training and proficiency om removal of bony impacted teeth, alveoloplasty, perioperative pain control and oral pathology.
- Possesses basic operating knowledge of computers. Beginning level of Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures/reports/documents, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence and speak effectively in front of groups of employees and clients.
- Work situations are broadly defined, complex and diverse, occasionally unprecedented. Problems have many dimensions and range rom innovative thinking in one area to related fields of specializations.

Immunization Requirements
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to starting at HealthPoint. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. Individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine must provide documentation of an alternate COVID-19 vaccine or vaccine series.
As a condition of employment, all new hires must provide proof of required immunizations and/or immunity for:
- COVID-19
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella
- Annual Influenza
- TB QuantiFERON Gold titer draw
Employees working in a HealthPoint clinic must also provide proof of:
- Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
- Hepatitis B vaccination (for clinical positions with potential exposure to blood or bloodborne pathogens)
Documentation must be provided before your start date. If you are unable to provide documentation, HealthPoint can provide required vaccinations or immunity titers at no cost.
