About the role:
The General Education Assistant plays a supportive role in the classroom by assisting teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks to help ensure a well-organized, effective, and positive learning environment for all students. Responsibilities include preparing classroom materials, supervising students during classroom activities and transitions, assisting with small group instruction, and supporting classroom management efforts. This position requires flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed in the general education setting. The assistant works under the direct supervision of a licensed teacher and follows established procedures and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Not less than a high school education or a general equivalency diploma
- Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
