Job Description

Job Title: General Labor / General OperatorLocation: York, NEPay: $19.00/hourShift Options:
  • Monday Friday, 6: 00 AM 2: 30 PM
  • Monday Thursday, 6: 00 AM 4: 30 PM
Job Type: Seasonal / Full-TimePosition OverviewJoin a leading agricultural company and be part of a team helping feed the world. We are hiring General Labor / General Operators to support seasonal production, warehouse and field operations. This role offers a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the year in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDuties vary by season and may include:Harvest Season (Fall):
  • Receive and process incoming crop loads
  • Operate dryers and assist with seed processing
  • Perform sorting, husking, shelling and storage tasks
  • Ensure accurate data entry and quality standards
Winter Operations:
  • Label, tag, bag and palletize seed
  • Manage inventory and prepare shipments
  • Support warehouse and shipping functions
Spring & Summer:
  • Inspect and maintain seed inventory
  • Re-bag returned seed and retag products
  • Clean and wash containers (pro boxes)
  • Assist with facility upkeep and maintenance
General Duties (Year-Round):
  • Operate forklifts and assist with loading/unloading
  • Support packaging, bagging and palletizing
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards)
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic with reliable attendance
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and environments
  • Basic communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment screenings
  • Reliable transportation required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work on uneven surfaces and in agricultural environments
Work Environment & Gear
  • Exposure to dust and common agricultural allergens (corn dust, pollen)
  • Steel-toe, over-the-ankle boots required (employee provided)
  • PPE provided: hard hat, gloves, safety vest and eyewear
Additional Information
  • Overtime and extended hours may be required during peak seasons
  • No driving required for this role
  • Must follow all site safety, electronic device and workplace policies
