Aramark is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to support day-to-day facilities maintenance across assigned buildings. This position focuses on general repairs, upkeep, and basic building maintenance rather than licensed trades work.
This role is ideal for candidates with general maintenance experience, especially those coming from:
Schools or school districts
Apartment or multi-family housing
Retail or commercial buildings
Office parks or institutional facilities
Compensation Range: $27.00 - $30.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by location but commonly include:
Perform general building repairs and routine maintenance
Fix and maintain doors, locks, hardware, windows, and fixtures
Repair minor appliances, furniture, and office equipment
Patch drywall, perform light painting, and basic carpentry repairs
Replace ceiling tiles, flooring tiles, and minor wall repairs
Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and address issues as needed
Complete daily, weekly, or monthly preventive maintenance tasks
Safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
Respond to maintenance requests and report larger issues when escalation is needed
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications
HVAC Certification preferred
Previous general maintenance, handyman, or building maintenance experience preferred
Experience from schools, apartments, retail, or commercial facilities strongly valued
Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Positive attitude and customer-service mindset
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Willingness to learn and follow established maintenance procedures
HVAC troubleshooting, electrical, plumbing & general maintenance
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
