Core Responsibilities:• The General Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the East Granby, CT MRO site providing leadership anddirection to both organizations in achieving their performance and financial objectives as defined and aligned onthrough the Company's annual profit planning process.• Ensure the effective execution and achieves profitable top-line revenue and market share growth through theeffective management and execution of MRO, services, solutions, and increased process capabilities.• Completely owns the numbers from driving the development of and participate in reviewing and approving short- andlong-term sales plans, other operating objectives, and profit plans.• A strong team leader and team builder focused on generating results through collaboration, influence and relationshipbuilding as much as direct line authority. Builds a passionate and driven management team that possesses unmatchedintensity balanced with passion & professionalism who desires, understands, and motivates other on "how to win".• Empowers teams with a leadership/management style that is collaborative, inclusive, and balanced to achieve and sustain results.• Attracts, develops, and retains qualified, talented people, creating and sustaining a high-performance culture. Organizes the business to execute anddeliver promised results on a consistent basis - the right way.• Leads and manages the areas of accountability to achieve short-term and long-term business success and required financial performance,successfully defining, and implementing countermeasure to address headwinds and challenges - planned or unforeseen to deliver on commitments.Plans and directs the overall activities that meets or exceeds established performance metrics including safety and environmental stewardship inalignment with the company vision and growth strategy to drive top line and bottom-line results.• Effectively works with peers to enhance the performance of the overall Barnes Aerospace business. Embraces "Enterprise Leadership" as it relates toexecuting plans for the specific site/division while supporting the achievement of the overall short/long-term goals of Barnes Aerospace.• Seeks to expand service offerings with customers, help develop new customers and expand the division's presence as a service supplier.• Achieves productivity and efficiency improvements through continuous improvement activities and Lean Manufacturing principles. Ensures theeffective management of operating methods, budget spending, manpower/resource utilization and labor efficiency, and material scheduling andcapacity planning.Qualifications:• 10+ years of P&L experience in a manufacturing environment in aerospace. Prior commercial and sales management experience necessary.• At least 7 years of experience of effectively leading and managing people. A proven track record of implementing and successfully executingstrategies to build and sustain a high-performance work environment. Solid track record of business development experiences.• Demonstrated ability to integrate sales, operations, finance, logistics and human resource disciplines to maximize the site P&L performance, is adifferentiator. Develops and implements performance indicators to continually improve the efficiency and productivity of the manufacturingoperations.• Demonstrated leadership effectiveness. Must be an effective change leader; balances consistency with flexibility and willing to change ideasin the face of new information. Impeccable integrity; superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels ofthe organization. Emotionally intelligent change agent who challenges the status quo and acts with a sense of urgency to drive results. Hasstrong executive presence.• Views opportunities for digitalization/innovation/automation to facilitate continuous improvement and enhancement. Is motivated to thinkcreatively, while holding themselves accountable to achieve desired results and outcomes.• Views data analytics as critical to decision-making; considers "what the data says" and leverages it to formulate plans and execute/deliver on them.Education:• Bachelor's degree required in business management, engineering or related discipline required.
