Job Description
The General Operator is an entry level role who will be responsible for handling finished and recycled products, cleaning and maintaining their assigned area per company standards, as well as executing all tasks in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a clean and efficient work area to support Machine Technicians via cleaning, recycle handling & granulating waste products.
- safely and efficiently assist Machine Technicians with the manufacturing of products
- Will assist Technicians as needed with product changes, maintaining a smooth uninterrupted flow of production.
- In the absence of the Lift Truck Operator, will supply the production line with all needed packaging materials and pallets.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, checklists, and guidelines.
- Must adhere to established quality and environmental standards to identify and mitigate/escalate quality or environmental risks/issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Work around manufacturing equipment, to perform basic cleaning tasks, and learn how to use industrial equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
- Proficient with computers and have familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Strong desire to grow with the company and train/develop new hires
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and/or up to 120 pounds with another person
- Must be fine working alongside moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and workspace restrictions.
PAY:
- Pay starts at $20.50 to $21.50 depending on shift
HOURS:
- 6am-6pm or 6p-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule
