Job Description
Job Title: General Worker (Aircraft Fueling / Defueling Operator)Location: Greenville, South Carolina, 29607Pay Rate: $25.00 –$30.00 per hourShift Timings: 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5: 30 AM –4: 30 PM Or 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3: 00 PM –1: 30 AM. Shift assigned after training (must be flexible for either shift) Job Description: Responsible for performing aircraft refueling and defueling operations in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and company safety standards. The role includes operating fueling equipment, maintaining accurate fuel records, performing quality checks, inspecting systems, and supporting ground support operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform refueling and defueling of various aircraft types per technical standards
- Operate an 18-wheel aircraft fueling/defueling truck
- Conduct fuel quality testing and sampling
- Maintain accurate fuel movement logs (manual and electronic)
- Inspect fuel systems and equipment for safety compliance
- Service and maintain ground support equipment (GSE)
- Ensure all operations follow OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and company safety procedures
- Complete required documentation and operational records accurately
- Strong attention to safety and compliance procedures
- Experience in aircraft fueling/defueling operations
- Ability to maintain detailed operational and fuel records
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages)
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and safety procedures
- Computer literacy for electronic recordkeeping
- Physical stamina for long shifts and manual labor
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft refueling/defueling experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining fuel records
- At least 1 year of documentation/form completion experience
- Ability to understand safety manuals and operational instructions.
