Outpatient Genetic Counselor Role in Portland, OR.

0 NBO
4 days per week, 8 hour days. OFF Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday every week.
Outpatient Clinic
OR Licensure must be obtained by start via Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO).
Okay to have temporary, valid certification through American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).
Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling Required

Counselor will support Genetic Counseling, Genetic Screening, and High Risk Patient Management for Heredity Cancer/conditions. Patients are supported through prevention as well as Oncology initiatives.Counselor will as a consultant/resource for patients and physicians. Counselor will be in a supporting role working under Medical Geneticist (MD).

Schedule 4x8 Days, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.Contract Length: 13 WeeksNo weekends or on-call requirements.Local candidates or travelers approved.

Required Education: Master's Degree from a genetic counseling training program approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling

Required Experience: 1 year of experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment, ordering and interpreting genetic test results, and providing psychosocial assessment and support.Preferred Experience: 1 year working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer.
