Job Description
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is actively seeking a driven and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the vibrant Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. What You’ll Be Doing:You'll play a key role in a variety of exciting geotechnical and construction-related projects, including:
- Field and lab work related to earthwork, foundation, and construction materials testing
- Managing subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), and analyzing logs, lab data, and site plans
- Performing engineering calculations such as bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, slope stability, and pavement section design
- Writing and preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports
- Retaining wall and foundation design
- Slope stability analysis and pavement design
- Project management and client engagement
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- EIT/FE certification strongly preferred; PE license is a plus
- 5–10 years of relevant geotechnical and construction observation experience
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD or CADD is a bonus
