- Assemble, disassemble, and modify aircraft systems and components
- Perform structural repairs (fatigue, corrosion, stress, materials, repair techniques)
- Work with: *
- Structural repair and overhaul
- Nondestructive inspection
- Corrosion control
- Composite materials
- Document all work to meet regulatory and contractual requirements
- Inspect components and verify flight readiness
- Repair and modify aircraft structures and components (moderate difficulty)
- Maintain and repair systems such as: *
- Flight controls
- Engines
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- Fuel systems
- Mechanical parts
- Diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment performance
- Interpret technical documents (blueprints, manuals)
- Solve moderate to complex technical problems
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for aircraft components
- Knowledge of: *
- Sheet metal and structural repair/modification
- Basic electrical theory
- Experience using tools like: *
- Test equipment
- Torque wrenches
- Dial indicators & micrometers
- Sheet metal brakes & shears
- Ability to read and use technical publications
- Follow guidance from supervisors or senior technicians
- May lead teams on complex tasks
- Maintain aircraft logs and records
- Prioritize workload to meet project schedules
- High school diploma
- P-8 aircraft experience
- Military or commercial aviation experience
- Boeing 737 experience
