Job Description: Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction. Boeing Global Services is searching for an Ejection Seat Technician willing to work night or day shift at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. The selected candidate will perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support of aircraft egress systems and associated components in a professional maintenance environment. Position Responsibilities: Technician maintains the following: Aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, Gaseous O2, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization and ventilation Remove and install Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters and regulators. Remove, install, inspect and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADS), shoulder harnesses and lap belts. Perform Daily, pre and post flight and periodic aircraft inspections. Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum 5 years aviation maintenance experience in egress, survival equipment, and/ or related aircraft systems Experience installing/removing F-18 ejection seats Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform maintenance tasks in confined spaces or elevated positions Valid passport and ability to travel internationally Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Fighter Structural modification experience Ability to safely handle explosive devices and hazardous components Fighter Electrical modification experience Target Start Date: ASAP Duration: Year Work Location: NAS JRB Onsite Full Time First Shift 6:30 am 3:00 pm Overtime as needed Does this position require a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance?: Yes What kind of Security Clearance I required: Secret Is Clearance Required to Start?: Prior to start (at least interim to start) Travel: possible international travel to Scotland, Greece, or Kuwait (would be visiting US military bases) Interviews: 30 minute MS teams interview Manager is open to supplier contact Education / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
