Essential Functions:
- Interfaces with donors and development staff to respond to questions and requests for more information, including pledge status reports and assistance with matching gifts.
- Actively participates as a member of the gift processing team, trained in all aspects of gift entry, reporting, and reminders.
- Maintains up-to-date accounts with matching gift companies and third-party providers.
- Processes matching gift forms and tracks matching gift progress in Slate.
- Provides backup support for constituent record maintenance and acknowledgement production when needed
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Schedule: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. This position works 35 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GEDrequired with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrativeor accounting function or a combination of education and experience from which a similar background would be obtained.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with a comprehensive database and some knowledge of gift and pledge transactions.
- Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; experience with Slate, or another relational database is a plus.
- Must be sensitive toconfidential personal, giving and asset information, and must be able to work in an office setting and follow organizational protocol.
- The ideal candidate will have familiarity with higher education and the critical role information and data play in alumni and development affairs.
- Collegiality, a positive outlook, and a desire to set an example with a strong work ethic are essential. Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and proactively suggest process improvement.

The expected pay rate for this position is between $23.67 - $27.46 per hour.
