Job Description

This position provides thoughtful and strategic partnership in four primary areas of programming critical to deepening life-long donor relationships: acknowledgement, recognition, stewardship and accountability. This position plays a critical role in fulfilling a broad range of obligations to donors, including impact reporting, engagement opportunities, and recognition programs and processes. The position reports to the Associate Director of Donor Relations and works in collaboration with leaders and partners across the Foundation and Medical Center.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with Donor Relations colleagues and teams across the Foundation to ensure timely fulfillment of stewardship obligations to donors, including impact and endowment reporting and recognition activities.
  • Ensure a high degree of data integrity across all stewardship-related functions in the donor database and in ancillary systems such as Gift Map.  
  • Facilitate donor correspondence on behalf of Medical Center and Foundation leadership. Draft and edit content, obtain appropriate approvals, coordinate delivery, and record all activity.
  • Support stewardship efforts for Community and Donor Engagement teams and volunteer groups, working with teammates and Foundation leads to create and execute stewardship plans for a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute best-in-class dedications and other recognition events and donor engagement opportunities.   
  • Partner with fundraisers to create and deliver bespoke stewardship plans for major gift donors and other key constituents.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of all Donor Relations policies and procedures and ensure stewardship and recognition activities are executed in accordance with those policies.
  • Skillfully navigate gift financials to serve as a resource to fundraisers and guide impact reporting.
  • Actively participate in benchmarking and best-practice sharing with local and national colleagues.
  • Other job functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or higher education.
  • Discretion with confidential materials and sound judgment.
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience and proficiency with Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge or other similar software.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under demanding deadlines.
  • A service mindset and solutions-oriented attitude to work with internal and external constituencies.
  • Basic understanding of nonprofit financial practices.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software and InDesign preferred.
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships strongly preferred.

$70,720.00-$115,627.20 Salary
