About the Role & A Day in the Life

The Golf Pro manages and supervises the day-to-day operations of the Roosevelt City Golf Course, excluding greens maintenance. A typical day for a Golf Pro may include coordinating leagues, tournaments, clinics, and lessons; maintaining score charts and handicaps; and collaborating with the Greens Superintendent. The Golf Pro oversees pro shop operations, fleet management, restaurant contracting oversight, and clubhouse support. Staff leadership is central to the Golf Pro role, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and mentoring starters, cart attendants, and clubhouse leadership. The Golf Pro also serves as a liaison to the public, manages budgets, ensures policy compliance, and supports broader Recreation Department initiatives.
