The Location:
Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for passionate Graduate Nurses to work under the supervision of the Preceptor, Charge Nurse, and Director of Nursing. Participating in Hale Makua's Nurse Residency Program while providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.
- Developing clinical and leadership skills, analysis of evidence through reviews of the literature, application of outcomes data to patient care improvements, professional development, and coaching to clinical success.
- Under the direction of the preceptor or nurse manager, demonstrates knowledge of patient's diagnoses, limitations, expectations, plan of health, and current status.
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practice including, assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Enhance own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Within four (4) months of start date in GN position, must obtain license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Hawaii.
- Previous experience in direct patient health care preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
- First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
