Job Summary

Perform a variety of independent tasks surrounding the management of Department/Bureau grants. Assist leadership in preparing budgets and financial analyses for grants. Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, budget analyses, and projections. Interact with a variety of offices, including County Bureaus/Departments, grantors, and municipal partners regarding various grant initiatives, budgets, and reimbursement processes. Prepare and process invoices, determine allowable costs, ensure adherence to grant guidance/policies, and ensure correct grant accounts are utilized for payment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher and
  • Two (2) years of finance, business management, public administration, or directly related experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver's license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee). Candidates will be notified of how to submit the required document.

  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by either the World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and private grant programs.
  • Ability to interpret, explain, and apply applicable laws, codes, and regulations as they relate to grant funding.
  • Knowledge of grant management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, budget and cost analysis, and forecasting principles.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, auditing techniques, and computer programs for spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to work well with others when dealing with Federal and State agencies, County departments, municipal partners, and vendors.
  • Skill in executing moderately complex data collection, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and development of recommendations to support functional area(s), where analysis is often procedural and straightforward.
  • Ability to provide support and collaborate with team members and entry-level management to drive accuracy and precision in analysis.
  • Knowledge of procedural analytical practices to perform moderate studies and continually adopt new methods.

Salary Range: $77,107 -$85,130 /YEARLY

  • This position requires successful completion of post-offer tests, which may include a background check, drug screen and medical examination.
