Job Description
BrightKey is seeking an experienced Graphic Design & Printing Specialist in the Washington, DC area! The Graphic Design & Printing Specialist supports a large organization by delivering high-quality visual design and print production services. This role combines creative design expertise with hands-on operation of high-volume print and copy equipment. The specialist will create and maintain a wide range of visual materials—from print collateral and signage to web graphics—while ensuring production quality, brand consistency, and timely delivery.Key Information:
- On-Site, First shift, Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00am-5:00pm
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
- 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, including advanced use of Adobe Photoshop for creating and editing graphics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- InDesign
- Acrobat
- Experience with Microsoft Access Database and Dreamweaver in preferred.
- Experience operating high-volume print and copy equipment in a production or print shop environment.
- Design and produce visual materials including training guides, office signage, presentations, reports, and interactive exhibits.
- Create and edit graphics for digital platforms, including webpages and internal communications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate concepts and requirements into effective visual solutions.
- Ensure brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and visual consistency across all materials.
- Prepare final files for both print and digital distribution.
- Converting print materials to Web-ready formatting
- Operate and maintain high-volume print and copy machinery.
- Manage print jobs from intake through finishing (e.g., binding, cutting, tabbing, and packaging).
- Monitor print quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate service when needed.
- Maintain inventory of paper, toner, and print supplies.
- Prioritize and manage multiple production requests to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years or related experience
- Must be able to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required
- Candidates must have or be able to obtain a SECURITY CLEARANCE (Public Trust)
