Job Description
Location: Newark, NJDuration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a steward of the brand by ensuring all creative assets consistently align with established brand standards and design guidelines.
- Design compelling visual communications across print, digital, and environmental mediums, including brochures, customer-facing collateral, event materials, advertising, presentations, social media assets, email graphics, internal communications, promotional merchandise, signage, and other marketing materials.
- Translate business objectives and creative briefs into polished, strategic design solutions that balance brand consistency with fresh, engaging creative.
- Partner closely with marketing, communications, business units, external vendors, and other cross-functional stakeholders to understand project goals, provide creative guidance, and influence design decisions.
- Present creative concepts and design rationale to stakeholders, clearly communicating strategic thinking while incorporating feedback thoughtfully and effectively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Contribute to the evolution of the brand by identifying opportunities to refine templates, improve design systems, and enhance the overall visual experience.
- Prepare production-ready files and collaborate with print vendors, digital teams, and other creative partners to ensure high-quality execution across all deliverables.
- Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while exercising sound judgment about when and how to incorporate them within the brand.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, polished execution, and a diverse range of design work across print and digital channels.
- A sophisticated understanding of typography, layout, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines while finding opportunities to thoughtfully elevate and evolve creative solutions.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently explain design decisions and build trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing creative outcomes through partnership rather than authority.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and work independently with minimal direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Experience with Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, motion graphics, or video editing is a plus.
