Role: Graphic Designer 3 Basketball Graphics Location: Beaverton, OR (PHK) Onsite, Fridays Remote Duration: 5+ Months Contract Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer 3 Basketball Graphics to support the Basketball Design team. This role will focus on creating innovative graphics for Basketball Apparel and Uniform collections, with priority given to General Apparel Graphics. The ideal candidate is a highly creative designer with strong typography, illustration, and apparel graphics experience who can develop compelling visual stories that resonate with athletes and consumers. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Management, Development, Materials, and key stakeholders to bring seasonal product stories to life across basketball apparel and footwear collections. Key Responsibilities
- Create innovative graphics for Basketball Apparel, Uniforms, and Signature Athlete collections.
- Develop visual storytelling concepts and graphic narratives for seasonal product lines.
- Design apparel graphics, trims, presentation materials, and visual assets.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and product creation meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure graphics align with product and brand objectives.
- Translate athlete insights, consumer trends, and cultural influences into impactful graphic solutions.
- Present concepts and design solutions to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Graphic Design experience in apparel, sportswear, footwear, consumer products, or a related field.
- Bachelor s degree in graphic design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field highly preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, storytelling, typography, illustration, and product graphics.
- Experience working directly with a diverse range of consumers and athletes.
- Deep understanding of typography, layout, color theory, brand identity, and graphic production.
- Strong illustration skills and experience creating apparel graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted design tools is a plus.
- Experience with 3D design tools is preferred.
- Strong visualization, concept development, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with a global athletic, sportswear, or lifestyle brand.
- Prior experience designing for Basketball, Team Sports, or Performance Apparel.
- Strong understanding of sports culture and emerging design trends.
- Previous experience working with athlete-driven product stories and collections.
- Previous experience with our client is highly preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude and openness to feedback.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for sports, basketball culture, and storytelling through design.
