G & G Beverage Distributors, Inc. is a proud distributor of beers, craft beers and ciders throughout New Haven County, Fairfield County, Litchfield County and Hartford County. Based in Wallingford, CT., we are seeking an individual with a creative mind for a full time Graphic Designer.
Graphic Designer Job Responsibilities:
Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts.
Graphic Designer Job Duties:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
- Plans concept by studying information and materials.
- Designs rough layout of art regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtains approval of concept by submitting to sales team.
- Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting and printing.
- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Mounts and grommets signs.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
- Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Graphic Designer Skills and Qualifications:
Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Knowledge and experience with Photo Shop and Coral Draw.
Position Compensation/Schedule:
- Full time 40 hours weekly.
- Salary range is between $18.00 and $20.00 an hour (negotiable).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
As G&G Beverage Distributors is a growing company with season volume fluctuations, flexibility is required to schedule work hours and vacation around peak work times. Individual must be able to shift priorities, work assignments and perform clerical work.
This is an operational position, which requires both office and warehouse work. The employee reads technical material, uses a phone and computer, reads precise instruments, works with data and moves within the compound to inventory product and service all company computer systems and office equipment. Sitting and lifting/carrying material under 150 pounds is required. Operates warehouse and office equipment.

This position is classified as non-exempt.
