Job Description
Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for taking conceptual design ideas and creating visual representations of them, for traditional/print and digital mediums. The role will be involved with a variety of products, applications and software platforms. The Graphic Designer will also assist the Marketing & Communications team with promotions, special events and visual media as required.Core Duties
- Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and restrictions
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the highest degree of quality
- Provides seamless transition of artistic vision from concept to realized product
- Builds technically accurate files according to departmental standards and supplied specifications
- Maintain existing brand guidelines across all creative and graphic materials and contribute to further development of a “best-in-class” organizational brand identity
- Identifies inconsistencies between creative concept, production file and Company standards, then actively seeks out solutions to keep work moving forward without sacrificing quality or deliverability
- Create and maintain artwork files and documentation for production on printed mediums, digital distribution, and cross-platform use
- Develop graphics for use in product illustrations, promotional materials on social media, pre-production mockups, website content, and more
- Plan and schedule multiple overlapping projects and deliver on time and on budget
- Exercise excellent judgment and make recommendations that balance the needs of the company
- Have the ability to manage multiple competing and important priorities quickly and effectively communicate back to other stakeholders.
- Have a strong sense of urgency, integrity and impeccable professionalism.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with graphic art software, applications, and utilization of digital resources
- Knowledge of web development, web design, digital asset management and scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, jQuery highly desirable
- Enthusiastically represent XPEL and present a professional appearance
- Constantly be learning
- Have a strong creative problem-solving ability
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience performing design functions with a strong demonstrative portfolio or body of work
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design/ Digital Design, Visual Communication, Media, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.
- Strong sense of trend spotting across all facets of visual communication on a global scale
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – consider combining with next two
- Ability to work well with others both in-person and across other locations via remote communications
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and integrate with geographically dispersed leaders and teams
