Job Description

PURPOSE:

This position supports communication and marketing efforts using various design and publication platforms to educate, inform, and promote the work of Lincoln University College of Agriculture, Environmental, and Human Sciences. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track, full benefit-eligible position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create visual content for fact/guide sheets, flyers, social media posts, websites, articles, newsletters, posters, booklets, signage, banners, etc.
  • Understands and ensures all materials align with established brand guidelines.
  • Creates invitations, agendas, event programs, and other assets.
  • Supports special assigned projects and events as needed.
  • Provide event photography support.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and university reporting requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with platforms like Canva or Figma.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of print production, digital media standards, and sizing.
  • Revisions & Quality Control: Review final layouts, incorporate feedback, and fix errors before publishing.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality assets within deadlines.
  • Proficient in photography, DSLR cameras, and editing software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in graphic design.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking, sometimes outdoors.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Position involves occasional travel and evening or weekend work.
