Grinder / Fabrication AssociatePay:Starting at $14.00 per hour(DOE)Location:Tulsa, OK 74112Shift:Monday Friday | 7: 30 AM 4: 30 PMJob Type:Temp-to-HireJob Order #:126199Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable Grinder / Fabrication Associate to join a busy manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position supports steel fabrication by preparing materials, grinding mill scale, performing basic MIG tack welding, and assisting with assembly operations to keep production moving efficiently.The ideal candidate has experience with metal fabrication, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to maintaining high quality and safety standards.Required Experience & Skills Previous grinding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred MIG welding experience is highly desirable Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately Experience using hand tools, power tools, and grinding equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to lift, carry, and move steel materials as needed Reliable attendance and strong work ethicEssential Duties & Responsibilities Use fabrication jigs to accurately mark steel plates for production Grind mill scale from designated areas according to specifications Assist with general fabrication and assembly operations Perform basic MIG tack welding as required Tack two plates together using a MIG welder Tack four gussets onto assembled plates according to work instructions Move completed assemblies to the next stage of production Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards Assist with additional fabrication duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications Previous structural steel fabrication experience Experience performing basic MIG welding or tack welding Familiarity with fabrication drawings and shop procedures Ability to safely operate material handling equipmentPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift Ability to safely operate grinders, welding equipment, and fabrication tools while wearing required PPE Comfortable working around heavy steel materials, sparks, grinding dust, and industrial machineryWork Environment Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility Exposure to grinders, welding equipment, steel materials, dust, noise, and fabrication processes Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork Overtime opportunities available based on production needsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay with opportunities for higher wages based on welding experience and qualifications Stable Monday Friday first-shift schedule Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to expand fabrication and welding skills in a growing manufacturing environment Team-oriented workplace with opportunities for advancement into skilled welding positionsReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
