If you enjoy working autonomously while contributing to overall store success, apply now!Job Summary:As a Frozen Lead, you will be responsible for independently managing all aspects of the frozen department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandising. This role involves maintaining an organized freezer, executing computer-generated ordering (CGO), building displays and end caps, and ensuring product quality and availability. You will play a key role in maximizing department efficiency, minimizing shrink, and supporting overall store operations.Examples of Duties:· Independently manage and maintain the frozen department, ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked and properly faced.· Utilize CGO (Computer Generated Ordering) to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure consistent product availability.· Receive and break down frozen deliveries, verifying product accuracy and quality.· Organize and maintain the backstock freezer, ensuring efficient product rotation and accessibility.· Rotate frozen products to maintain quality and minimize shrink due to outdated or damaged product.· Build and maintain end caps and displays to support promotions and drive sales.· Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to support sales trends and seasonal demand.· Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper storage and temperature control of frozen items.· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frozen department and storage areas.· Provide customer assistance as needed, including locating products and answering questions.· Communicate with store leadership regarding inventory needs, issues, or opportunities within the department.Knowledge:· Knowledge of frozen food products and storage requirements.· Understanding of inventory management and ordering systems, including CGO processes.· Familiarity with food safety and temperature control standards.· Basic understanding of retail merchandising and display execution.Skills:· Organization: Ability to maintain an orderly freezer, backstock, and sales floor.· Time Management: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.· Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in ordering, stocking, and product rotation.· Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and assist customers as needed.· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address inventory or stocking issues proactively.Abilities:· Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of the department.· Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, deliveries, and workload demands.· Customer Focus: Willingness to assist customers and maintain a positive shopping experience.· Physical Stamina: Ability to work in cold environments, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy items.Minimum Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent.· Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment preferred.· Experience with stocking, inventory, or ordering systems is a plus.· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
