Job Description
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes that inspire members to reach their goals.
- Create an inclusive environment by offering modifications and encouraging participants of all fitness levels.
- Bring your own expertise, creativity, and personality to each class while maintaining a high-quality member experience.
- Help grow PCC's group fitness program by introducing new class concepts, formats, and ideas.
- Prepare class equipment, music, and materials while maintaining a clean and organized studio.
- Build positive relationships with members by providing encouragement, education, and excellent customer service.
- Communicate with the Programs Director regarding member feedback, scheduling, and program opportunities.
- Represent PCC with professionalism, positivity, and a team-first attitude while helping create an outstanding experience for members and guests.
- Passion for helping others improve their health, confidence, and overall well-being.
- Energetic and motivating instructor who creates a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage participants of all fitness levels.
- Creative mindset with enthusiasm for developing new classes and growing the fitness program.
- Dependable, professional, and collaborative team member.
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
- Part-time position averaging 1-4 hours per week, with opportunities to grow as classes are added.
- Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability and program needs.
- We are actively looking to expand our group fitness schedule and welcome instructors with a variety of class styles and specialties.
- Opportunities are available for both regularly scheduled classes and substitute instruction.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a fitness instructor, group exercise leader, or personal trainer preferred.
- Current fitness certifications (e.g., ACE, NASM, SCW, or equivalent) depending on the style of class being taught.
- Minimum age: 18 years or older.
- Must be able to lift up to 30+ pounds occasionally and 15-20 pounds frequently.
- DOJ background clearance required
- Must adhere to and model PCC’s Safe Church policies
- Position requires physical ability to demonstrate exercises, lift light to moderate weights, and remain active for extended periods during classes.
