Job Description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack - from electrons to tokens - to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that - with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved - people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

As the Group Product Manager for Bare Metal as a Service (BMaaS), you will be the primary architect of Crusoe's high-performance compute vision. You will own the strategy and outcomes for our bare metal portfolio, providing AI-native companies with direct GPU and CPU access to power the world's most demanding training and inference workloads. This is a high-leverage role operating at the intersection of hardware engineering, automated provisioning systems, and infrastructure economics.

You will lead the strategic direction across multiple GPU generations and server architectures, ensuring our capital-intensive investments translate into a differentiated, world-class experience for our customers. As a recognized leader within Crusoe Cloud, you will not only drive execution but also mentor other Product Managers and influence our holistic company-wide strategy for capacity utilization and revenue growth.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Drive the vision for bare metal compute, encompassing GPU/CPU offerings, rapid provisioning systems, and full lifecycle management.

  • Portfolio Outcome Management: Ensure a tight alignment between hardware investments, infrastructure economics, and the evolving demands of the AI market.

  • Hardware Lifecycle Direction: Define product direction for new GPU generations and server configurations, navigating complex tradeoffs between performance, cost, and time-to-market.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead initiatives across engineering, infra-ops, and finance to deliver fleet-level automation, enhanced observability, and customer self-service capabilities.

  • Capital Allocation & Consensus: Build alignment with finance and engineering leads on hardware refresh cycles, capacity planning, and strategic capital investments.

  • Pricing & Packaging Innovation: Architect pricing models that maximize fleet utilization while maintaining the flexibility and profitability required for long-term growth.

  • Customer & Market Synthesis: Partner with Sales and GTM teams to transform enterprise feedback into roadmap priorities, ensuring deep product-market fit.

  • Mentorship & Culture: Develop the next generation of infrastructure PMs and engineers through active coaching and high-standard leadership.

  • Executive Representation: Represent the bare metal strategy to partners and internal executives, framing technical infrastructure decisions within a clear business context.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Infrastructure Leadership: 8+ years of product management experience focused on infrastructure or platform products, with a history of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Deep Compute Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of server hardware, bare metal provisioning, distributed systems, and large-scale fleet operations.

  • AI/ML Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of GPU-based AI workloads, specifically the performance requirements for large-scale training and inference.

  • Strategic Decision Making: Proven ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and drive long-term vision while balancing technical constraints and business outcomes.

  • Capital Intensity Experience: A track record of building consensus across operations and finance teams regarding significant infrastructure investments.

  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional skills in interpreting performance data, utilization metrics, and financial models to guide portfolio prioritization.

  • Communication Mastery: The ability to articulate deep technical complexity to executive audiences and translate business goals into clear product direction.

  • People Development: A dedicated track record of coaching and mentoring product managers or engineers to elevate team performance.

Bonus Points:

  • Hyperscale Operations: Experience managing massive-scale GPU fleets or specialized AI infrastructure platforms.

  • Economics & Planning: A background in infrastructure economics, capacity planning, or capital allocation for hardware-centric businesses.

  • Hands-on AI Experience: Direct experience operating or optimizing AI training/inference workloads at scale.

  • Technical Tooling: Familiarity with IPMI/BMC protocols, infrastructure automation tools, or bare metal provisioning frameworks.

  • Management Experience: Previous experience as a people manager leading a team of Product Managers.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off & paid holidays

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Mental health & wellness support

  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary
