Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, client-focused Group Vice President to join our award-winning Technology Practice, with a primary focus on B2B technology accounts. This senior leader will partner with agency leadership and client teams to deliver integrated communications programs that build visibility, credibility, and measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across enterprise software, AI, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and emerging technology. They are an experienced counselor, media strategist, and relationship builder who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives for executive, influencer, and technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior lead across a portfolio of technology accounts, helping shape strategic direction and ensuring high-quality program execution

  • Advise clients across enterprise software, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, cybersecurity, data and analytics, compliance technology, developer tools, and emerging technology categories

  • Provide executive-level counsel on messaging, positioning, reputation management, thought leadership, media strategy, and issues response

  • Develop and oversee integrated communications programs spanning earned, owned, social, and executive communications initiatives

  • Translate complex B2B technology concepts into clear, compelling, and business-relevant stories for relevant audiences

  • Act as a trusted advisor and senior client contact, building strong relationships that drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth

  • Maintain a deep understanding of clients' businesses, industries, competitors, and the market forces shaping their sectors

  • Lead strategic media relations programs that secure impactful coverage across top-tier business, technology, trade, and industry media

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, analysts, influencers, and key voices across the tech ecosystem

  • Mentor and support account teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, accountability, and growth

  • Serve as a strategic resource and subject matter expert for colleagues across the agency

  • Contribute to team development through coaching, collaboration, and knowledge sharing

  • Partner cross-functionally with integrated teams across sectors and disciplines to deliver cohesive client programs

  • Play a key role in new business development, including pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentations

  • Contribute to agency growth by identifying opportunities to introduce clients to new capabilities and expanded services

  • Support agency marketing initiatives, including case studies, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and award submissions

  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and participate in relevant professional organizations and events

  • Identify and support opportunities for organic growth across existing accounts

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in public relations, strategic communications, or integrated communications, with significant experience in B2B technology

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Technology, or a related field preferred

  • Agency experience is strongly preferred

  • Deep expertise across enterprise software, AI, cloud, SaaS, cybersecurity, developer platforms, data and analytics, compliance technology, or related B2B technology sectors

  • Proven success leading integrated communications programs for complex technology clients.

  • Strong understanding of the B2B technology media landscape, analyst ecosystem, and enterprise buying dynamics

  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and technical stakeholders alike

  • Demonstrated experience providing executive-level client counsel and managing senior stakeholder relationships

  • Strong media relations experience with the ability to build and maintain influential industry relationships

  • Experience contributing to and supporting new business efforts in a competitive agency environment.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for how AI, data, and emerging technologies are transforming communications and storytelling

  • Experience mentoring and developing team members in a collaborative agency environment

  • Strong business acumen, including experience supporting account growth, forecasting, and client retention

  • Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in fast-paced environments

The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $125,000 - $170,000. The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications. In addition, a range of medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available by the company.
