Job Description

Growth Lead: Social Media

Location: NYC (onsite only – not remote)

Compensation: $160k–$220k base + 0.1%–0.2% equity (DOE)

Alliance is the leading accelerator for crypto founders. Since 2020 we've backed 300+ startups (Rain, Synthetix, Pendle, Believe, and many more), now collectively valued at $10B+.

We're hiring a Growth Lead: Social Media to run Alliance's social presence and content engine – with one goal: drive high-quality founder applications. You'll report directly to Roberto (co-founder).

What you'll do

  • Social Growth Execution
    • Own Alliance's presence on X and LinkedIn end-to-end (voice, cadence, formats, growth)
    • Operate accounts with a daily shipping mindset across posts, threads, clips, and short-form video
    • Grow from strong baseline to category-defining presence in crypto/AI founders
    • Identify what's working in real time and double down quickly
  • Content → Distribution Engine
    • Turn Alliance's raw material (founder wins, cohort stories, insights, memes, community moments) into high-performing content
    • Own the Good Game content pipeline (topics → production → clipping → distribution)
    • Translate positioning into clear, compelling narratives that attract founders
    • Build repeatable systems for repurposing and amplification
  • Content System Ownership
    • Build and run a simple, high-output system: content calendar, pillars, and weekly retros
    • Work with contractors (video/editing/design) to increase output without losing taste

What success looks like (first 90 days)

  • A consistent weekly cadence on X/LinkedIn with clear content pillars and repeatable formats.
  • Measurable lift in intent signals: inbound DMs, email subs, application starts, and “heard about Alliance via social”.
  • Sharper, clearer copy on key surfaces (homepage/program pages + top lifecycle emails).
  • A content pipeline that runs without constant partner involvement.

What we're looking for

  • Crypto-native and can write like a real participant (not corporate marketing).
  • Exceptional writer with taste: sharp social + crisp, high-clarity copy.
  • Great on X, and can grow beyond the crypto bubble.
  • High-agency operator: you find the story, pull the thread, and ship without hand-holding.
  • Strong judgment: you know what's worth saying, what's cringe, and what's risky.
  • Comfortable using modern AI tools to move faster (without sounding AI).
  • Bonus: NYC creative network (video/photo/editing) and experience managing contractors.

Strong qualifications (nice to have)

  • 5–10 links to content you shipped that shows original voice (posts/threads/newsletter/essays/landing pages).
  • Proof you can build distribution: grew an audience/channel, ran a content series, or consistently shipped content that got shared.
  • Experience writing conversion copy (landing pages/emails) and iterating based on data.
  • Built a content system: pillars, calendar, repurposing pipeline, and basic analytics.
  • Worked in a content-heavy role at a top crypto protocol, fund, or fast-growing startup.
