Job Description

Want to help everyday Americans invest and build wealth? Financial inequality is increasing, and too many people are getting left behind. At Stash, we're passionate about democratizing wealth creation through education, advice, and products that help customers achieve greater financial freedom. We also believe in working smarter—leveraging AI and emerging technologies to move faster, operate more efficiently, and focus our time on solving meaningful problems for our customers.

We're looking for a Growth Manager, Paid Social to own Stash's paid social and mobile ad network acquisition. You'll be part of our growing Growth team and report to the Sr. Director of Acquisition. You'll own channel strategy, optimization, testing, and measurement across paid social (Meta, Tiktok)  and platforms like AppLovin—with real influence over how efficiently we acquire new customers.

This is a role with real scope and huge impact: you'll run hands-on media, build a disciplined experimentation system, and use AI-enabled workflows to operate at higher velocity. You'll partner closely with our Performance Creative Strategist to build a highly performant paid social engine. Over time, you may expand into additional performance channels as the business prioritizes them.

We're looking for someone who thinks in marginal CAC and test roadmaps, gets energy from reading the account and the funnel, and knows how to turn a test-and-learn process into a repeatable engine for growth.

What you'll do:

Own paid social and mobile network performance

  • Develop and own strategy and execution for paid social (e.g. Meta, TikTok) and mobile ad networks (e.g. AppLovin), with a focus on efficient new customer acquisition
  • Manage budgets, pacing, bidding, audience/structure decisions, and optimization to improve CAC, payback, and scalable growth
  • Build and manage a testing roadmap that keeps a constant stream of media experiments in market

Optimize the conversion system

  • Own acquisition landing page experimentation tied to your channels—prioritize the test backlog, define success metrics, and ship/kill/scale based on performance
  • Partner with the Performance Creative Strategist on message match between ads and landing pages; own the performance readout and decisioning
  • Identify and implement AI-driven tools and workflows that accelerate reporting, optimization, experiment tracking, and day-to-day media ops

Analyze and iterate

  • Analyze performance data to identify what's working, what's decaying, and where the next dollar should go
  • Turn learnings into new hypotheses across targeting, bidding, structure, offers, and landing pages
  • Report on channel and funnel performance and share insights with the broader acquisition and marketing teams

Partner cross-functionally

  • Collaborate tightly with the Performance Creative Strategist to close the loop between creative, partners, and paid media (including whitelisting/Spark where creators feed paid)
  • Partner with Data, Product, Brand, and Martech on attribution, incrementality, and measurement
  • Provide media input on campaign planning and, over time, expansion into additional performance channels

What we're looking for:

Your success will be measured by performance metrics like CAC, payback, ROAS, and new customer acquisition—not vanity reach. You understand that great performance media sits at the intersection of capital allocation, experimentation, and systems thinking, and you're energized by the process of testing your way to what works. You can open an account and quickly tell a clear story about what's driving results.

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience buying and optimizing paid social (e.g. Meta and/or TikTok), with a track record tied to performance metrics
  • Deep knowledge of working with MMPs (eg AppsFlyer)
  • Experience building and executing testing roadmaps across media and  landing pages
  • Strong analytical skills—comfortable with performance data, experiment design, and translating insights into action
  • Bias for speed and ownership; experience operating with AI tools or automation to increase leverage is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with creative, data, and cross-functional stakeholders

Gold Stars

  • Experience with mobile ad networks / UA platforms (e.g. AppLovin) or strong adjacent mobile performance experience
  • Experience owning landing page / CRO testing for acquisition funnels
  • Familiarity with fintech, consumer finance, or another regulated industry
  • Experience with incrementality testing, attribution, or media mix measurement
  • Experience standing up or scaling additional performance channels beyond social/mobile
  • A curiosity and familiarity with AI tools that can help streamline and improve processes
