Growth Marketing Manager, Digital Commerce Job Summary:
A leading global scientific membership organization in Washington, DC is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Growth Marketing Manager, Digital Commerce to oversee growth initiatives for its career development portfolio and online retail platform. This role sits within the organization’s revenue-focused media and communications team, which manages multiple income-generating programs including event sponsorships, lead generation solutions, recruitment advertising, professional education offerings, branded content, and custom publishing. The team partners with organizations worldwide to connect them with a highly engaged professional audience.
The Growth Marketing Manager, Digital Commercewill drive go-to-market strategy, positioning, and revenue growth across career-focused products (including a professional learning platform and job board) as well as major industry events and the organization’s online store. This individual will own messaging, campaign execution, performance tracking, and optimization efforts tied directly to revenue outcomes. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on — comfortable shaping product narratives, launching data-driven campaigns, and continuously refining the customer journey to improve conversion and repeat engagement.
Growth Marketing Manager, Digital Commerce Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce marketing strategy to increase revenue across career services and digital products.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns supporting event sponsorships, advertising packages, and exhibitor sales. Partner closely with events teams to produce prospectuses, promotional materials, and sales enablement tools.
- Collaborate with web and UX teams to enhance product discoverability, streamline purchase pathways, and improve the digital buying experience for sponsors and customers.
- Support revenue-driving event marketing initiatives including conferences, trade shows, media partnerships, and specialty workshops. Provide strategic alignment with sales objectives and offer onsite support when needed.
- Partner with marketing operations and technology teams to implement systems that capture and analyze customer behavior, enabling smarter targeting and personalization.
- Build and maintain an “always-on” demand generation plan that includes positioning, messaging, and creative execution across channels. Coordinate with product owners to communicate feature enhancements and new offerings effectively.
- Establish performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to track KPIs, measure campaign impact, and inform strategic pivots. Focus on increasing demand, improving conversion rates, and strengthening customer lifetime value.
- Design and execute testing initiatives (A/B testing, audience segmentation experiments, etc.) to identify drivers of purchase behavior and optimize results.
- Lead recurring stakeholder meetings to present insights, revenue performance updates, and strategic recommendations to leadership audiences.
- Manage relationships with external agencies to execute paid social and digital acquisition campaigns, monitoring performance and refining creative to maximize ROI.
Growth Marketing Manager, Digital Commerce Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on revenue growth and digital commerce.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid understanding of eCommerce principles, digital merchandising, and conversion optimization.
- Proven ability to translate marketing strategy into measurable growth initiatives.
- Experience leveraging audience and behavioral data to refine targeting and messaging.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, learning management systems, or recruitment technology is a plus.
- Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., Eloqua, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar platforms) preferred.

This job is Hybrid Remote.
Pay Range: Salary $100,000.00 to $112,000.00
