We are looking for a Growth Marketing Specialist who knows how to turn compliant digital marketing into measurable sales. This role owns the strategy and execution behind customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value across social media, email, SMS, and digital platforms--while expertly navigating the realities of cannabis marketing restrictions. Hands-on experience with Alpine IQ or similar cannabis-specific CRM and loyalty platforms is essential.
This is a performance-driven role for a sharp, analytical marketer who understands how to scale a cannabis brand, protect platform health, and consistently convert attention into customers without cutting corners.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute growth marketing strategies focused on acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
- Immediate Focus on Paid Cannabis Advertising Strategies and Implementation
- Analyze campaign performance and customer data to identify opportunities for optimization
Cannabis-Compliant Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute compliant marketing campaigns across:
- Social media (Instagram, Meta, TikTok, etc.) within cannabis restrictions
- Email and SMS marketing
- Web and landing page optimization
- Stay current on state and platform-specific cannabis regulations and ensure all marketing efforts remain compliant
- Work within shadow-ban, ad restriction, and content moderation realities unique to cannabis.
- Creativity to work around these restrictions will be key for the success of this role.
Social Media & Content Optimization
- Guide social content strategy focused on engagement, education, and brand presence (not direct sales)
- Collaborate with creative teams to test messaging, formats, and posting strategies that avoid account penalties
- Monitor platform health and proactively mitigate risks of takedowns or restrictions
CRM, Loyalty & Lifecycle Marketing
- Build and optimize customer journeys using Alpine IQ (preferred)
- Segment audiences and deploy targeted email/SMS campaigns
- Improve loyalty participation, repeat purchases, and customer engagement
Testing & Experimentation
- Run A/B tests on messaging, offers, landing pages, and timing
- Rapidly iterate based on performance insights
- Document findings and apply them to future campaigns
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in growth, digital, or performance marketing
- Direct experience marketing cannabis or other regulated products
- Strong understanding of cannabis social media limitations and compliance
- Hands-on experience with Alpine IQ or similar cannabis CRM platforms
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
- Ability to balance creativity with regulatory discipline
- 2+ years experience with META, knows how to run Paid Ads
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail cannabis or multi-location dispensaries
- Familiarity with SEO, CRO, and web analytics tools
- Experience scaling loyalty or SMS programs
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving regulatory environments
