  • Model exemplary patient-provider interactions and advocate for trauma-informed, patient-centered care throughout the teaching session.
  • Support the educational program through participation in training, feedback sessions, and continuous quality improvement, reflecting ASPE's principles of reflection and professional development.
  • Maintain standards of privacy, confidentiality, and dignity for both the associate and participants in all teaching interactions.
  • Document participation and report any concerns or incidents in accordance with institutional protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to upholding ASPE's Standards of Practice, including safety, respect, professionalism, confidentiality, and reflective practice.
  • Comfort and ability to serve as a model for gynecological and/or male urological exams in a clinical teaching setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster learner-centered education and provide nonjudgmental, supportive feedback.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, personal safety, and professionalism during all interactions.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and discretion.
  • Prior experience as a teaching associate or standardized patient is valuable but not required; comprehensive training is provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to undergo repeated gynecological or urological examinations within a single teaching session.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or lie on an examination table as needed.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Flexible, part-time scheduling.
