Job Description
Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer 3 Location: Redmond, WA Salary Range: $80/hr to $82/hr on W2
Introduction
Join our team as a Hardware Design Engineer 3, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware solutions. You will contribute to ongoing hardware design and validation initiatives, supporting product development and manufacturing readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 5-7 years of experience in hardware design engineering.
- Strong understanding of hardware design projects, technical contributions, and real-world engineering and manufacturing collaboration scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Analyze information to determine plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
- Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Basic knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze information to determine plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
- Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
- Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
