Role

  • Work with product management & design engineering to develop test plans based on device specifications and design requir ements.
  • Work with project management to develop and execute product release schedules
  • Execute developed test plans including electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests using in-house equipment as well as through outside test labs
  • Identify and maintain relationships with outside test labs as necessary
  • Develop new tests and capabilities within the QA function
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and build manual and automated test fixtures, ensuring accurate and repeatable test setups.
  • Provide clear, thorough, and accurate reporting of test results, highlighting any issues discovered during testing.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to identify root causes and resolve performance issues
  • Help to institute and improve engineering best practices using industry experience following a quality-driven stage gate process

You

  • 3-5 years of experience as a QA, reliability, test, or systems engineer for complex electromechanical products
  • Experience with medium-volume products shipping 1,000s to 10,000s units annually
  • Experience developing tests, fixtures, and automation including mechanical design and automation programming
  • Solid analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and test specifications is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and environmental product testing.
  • Proficiency in test development, including creating test plans, test cases and test scripts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

This is an in-office role, though we are flexible on WFH and most people work remotely one or two days per week.
