Job Description
JOB FUNCTION: Test Engineers are responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of a product. They are involved in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: 4 years of high school completion, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in engineeringEMET or the equivalent experience preferredEXPERIENCE: Minimum1 year of experience in assembly, testing, debugging, test equipment programming.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proactive and able to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Work well with cross functional teams
- Strong ownership and organization skills
- Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
- Hardware Tool: Scopes (digital/analog), Multimeter (DMM), Logic analyzer, PC
- Operating systems: DOS, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Windows NT
- Bilingual (English & Chinese) preferred
- Interact with customer to provide Design for Testability analysis during product design phase.
- Develop test strategies and processes for new product release
- Develop, verify, and integrate the hardware, software, and firmware to test the final products.
- Design and develop test fixtures and equipment.
- Find root causes and develop solutions for failures.
- Develop and update documents and TPI to establish testing requirements and troubleshooting process.
- Document technical issues and solutions
- Install new test diagnostic when it releases
- Monitoring the all-test fixtures inside production, troubleshoot when it reports as malfunction
- Creation and development of SOPs for new test equipment
- Schedule maintained for each test equipment
- Update test diagnostic when new FW release via SECN
