Job Title: Harness Design Engineer Location: Griffin, Georgia- Onsite Salary Range : $75k - $86K/Year

Job Summary

Seeking a Harness Design Engineer with strong wiring harness design, electrical schematics, and CAD experience. Candidates with recent Caterpillar (CAT) experience and engine, genset, or marine electrical systems experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, release, and maintain wiring harnesses, cables, wiring groups, and electrical schematics.
Develop harness designs for new products and coordinate engineering changes for existing products.
Create and maintain EDS and GPGR models for harness assemblies and related components.
Support design reviews, troubleshooting, quality issues, and manufacturing requirements.
Provide technical support to assembly teams, quality teams, suppliers, and harness manufacturers.
Prepare drawing deviations, change notices, engineering documentation, and design standards.
Develop harness design best practices, checklists, and drawing standards.
Investigate new concepts and improvements for harness designs.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
5 7 years of relevant experience; minimum 2 years of Caterpillar experience preferred.
Strong wiring harness design experience.
Creo / Pro-E / AutoCAD or similar CAD experience.
Experience with EDS and Teamcenter.
Electrical schematic development and interpretation.
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CAT engines, gensets, or marine electrical systems.
CAT ET experience.
Harness design involving connectors, sensors, brackets, and light structures.
Experience working with internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
