Job Title: Harness Design Engineer Location: Griffin, GA Onsite Experience: 5 7 Years

Job Summary: Seeking a Harness Design Engineer to develop and maintain electrical harnesses, cables, wiring assemblies, and electrical schematics for marine propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, gensets, and related marine electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

Design, detail, release, and maintain harness assemblies, wiring groups, and related components.
Develop harness designs for new products and manage engineering changes for existing products.
Create and maintain EDS and GPGR models for harness assemblies and wiring groups.
Develop electrical schematics and support design reviews, presentations, and technical deep dives.
Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support to manufacturing, quality, assembly, and harness suppliers.
Create drawing deviations and Advanced Change Notices (ACNs) as required.
Establish best practices for harness design, drawing accuracy, engineering checklists, and documentation.
Support training of team members and assigned personnel.
Research and implement new harness design concepts and improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
5 7 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 2 years of CAT experience.
Experience working with internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills and organizational abilities.
Experience with AutoCAD, Pro/E, Creo, or similar CAD tools.
Experience with Engineering Data System (EDS) and Teamcenter.
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CAT engines or gensets.
Experience with CAT ET.
Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring design.
Experience designing light structures such as brackets for connectors and sensors.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Education: BSEE / BSME
