Job Description
North Park University would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the position of Head Cheerleading Coach. This part-time position directs all aspects of the cheerleading program and begins on August 15, 2026. The position is compensated with a $5,000 stipend, paid over the course of the academic year.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the cheerleading program at North Park University.
- Provide on-site coaching including the organization and implementation of training schedules for team members.
- Maintain a safe practice and performance environment, including appropriate spotting and skill instruction.
- Analyze performance and instruct team members in events and techniques in preparation for and during scheduled events.
- Oversee recruitment activities and communications to prospective cheerleaders.
- Ensure a commitment to the academic success of team members, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
- Participate in fundraising and development events and be visible in the campus community.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Athletics and the Director of Wellness and Recreation.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Coaching experience and knowledge of the sport of cheerleading are required.
- Applicants must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).
- Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
- Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
