About the Role
PTC is seeking a Head of Brand andorganicSocial Mediaasthe company continues to elevate and modernize the way it communicates withcustomers, employees, partners, and investors.
This person willbe responsibleforrepositioning the PTC brand to be more human, relatable, and impactful– clearlydemonstratingthe positive impact PTChas on the world throughits customersand employees.
This person will alsobe responsible foradvancing PTC’s organic social media program by prioritizinginformativeand thought-provokingsocial-first contentover traditional promotional tactics.
There isample opportunityto build and mature both programs over time and solidify their respective impactsfor a company of PTC’s size and breadth.
The ideal candidate will ensure both programssupport PTC’s business goals and priorities and resonate with global audiences.They will be able to understand the “big picture” ofwhat’shappening across PTC and execute the brand and social programs in the context of the company’s overall marketing and communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership
Define and articulate PTC’s brand philosophy, positioning, and identity to earn buy-in across the organization.
Develop a multi-yearbrand repositioning and activation roadmap, including primaryobjectivesand areas of investment, example activations, and measurement programs.
Coordinate with other marketing leaders toestablishacomprehensive messaging hierarchy that begins atthe brandlevel.
Develop and implement measurement frameworks to track brand awareness andimpactanddemonstrateimprovements in brandperceptionover time.
Oversee creative development for brand initiatives, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution.
Social Media Strategy
Elevate organic social media as a key pillar of PTC’s communications strategy, with emphasis on brand-level storytellingand social-first content.
Define channel and account strategy, including rationalizing the number of accounts and prioritizing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) for maximum impact.
Build a forward-lookingsocial-first content strategy and editorial calendarwith emphasis on company priorities, customerachievements, and employee accomplishments.
Establishcomprehensivemeasurement program todemonstrateimpactof organic social media onoverall communications strategy.
Ensuresocial-firstcontent delivers meaningful value to audiences and reinforces PTC’s overall narrative.
Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentorthe brand and socialteam while fostering collaboration across marketing, communications, and business units.
Serve as astrategicadvisor to senior leadershipon brand and social media strategy.
Qualifications
10+ years of leading corporate brand strategy and organic social media programs.
Demonstrated ability to reposition a brand and drive measurable improvements in awareness andperception.
Strongtrack recordof building business cases for brand investment and securing budgets.
Demonstrated success building an organic social media program, developing a 12-month editorial calendar, and creating compelling social-first content.
Ability to balanceoverarching program direction and leadership responsibilities with hands-on creative execution.
Exceptional communication, planning,and interpersonal skills.
Experienced people manager with proven philosophy ofsetting teammates up for success,thoughtfuldelegation, and constructive coaching.
PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipatedannual salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $200,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program(ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible forparticipation in our equity programs.Employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and if you are an office-assigned employee,a generous commuter subsidy.
