Why this role is important to us

Join State Street Markets as Senior Vice President, Head of Financing and Portfolio Solutions Platforms and Product Strategy, SVP. This position is responsible for leading product strategy and delivery of our financing and execution capabilities around the globe in support of our Firm’s clients and to accelerate growth of the business. The role works collaboratively with Financing and Portfolio Solutions Business leadership to define and execute our product roadmap for client and commercial growth, while working cross-functionally with other divisional Product leaders to ensure cohesive delivery across Markets.  This position will report directly to the Head of Markets Product, Strategy and Business Management, with matrix reporting to the Head of Financing and Portfolio Solutions.  

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead a global, cross-functional team focused on product strategy across Agency Lending, Prime Services, Secured Financing, Agency Brokerage Execution, Partnered Trading and Currency Management
  • Oversee Markets’ liquidity, funding and capital optimization product strategy and management
  • Deliver Broker Dealer expansion initiatives through connecting execution and financing capabilities through a unified product and technology ecosystem
  • Drive the design and delivery of global product roadmaps, including the associated technology requirements, operating models and business processes
  • Develop product business cases and engage key stakeholders across the organization including Legal, Technology, Finance, Treasury, Risk and Operations
  • Direct technology and legal budgets and partner with business heads, technology and legal to determine optimal allocations
  • Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation of offerings, selection of vendors and negotiating statements of work
  • Oversee all aspects of the Firm’s Financing Hub, Execution and Clearing platforms including product roadmap, sales and marketing campaigns
  • Analyze market research and understand the competitive marketplace to identify market trends and potential new product opportunities

  • Deep understanding of capital markets and financial trading services. Subject matter expertise in foreign exchange, securities lending, securities and derivatives trading, electronic trading and asset management
  • Strong commercial sensibility and track record of leading high-performing product organizations
  • Executive ability to connect enterprise strategy and competitive landscape to client solutions and product delivery
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional stakeholders, divisions and jurisdictions in a global financial institution to deliver commercial and client benefits
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • MBA, CFA is a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years financial services organization
  • FINRA Series 24, 7 and 63 is a plus

Salary Range:

$300,000 - $337,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
